Ted Kovas joined Lake Capital in 2001 and is responsible for transactions to build and manage portfolios for a number of the firm’s investments, including Addison Search, Dutko Worldwide, Huron Consulting Group, NAL Worldwide, PhysioHealth, Retrofitness, Ricetta and Tolt.

Prior to joining Lake Capital, Ted was a co-founder of Employ Technology, a recruiting technology solutions provider.  That initiative followed positions at Gryphon Investors, Inc., a San Francisco-based private equity firm, where he was involved with three platform and two add-on acquisitions in the retail, health care, and merchant services industries.  Prior to joining Gryphon, Ted spent two years at Bear Stearns & Co., Inc., as a financial analyst in the firm's financial buyers coverage group.

Ted received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and holds a BA in engineering from Dartmouth College and a bachelor of engineering degree with a focus in mechanical engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
