Rod joined Lake Capital in 2009 from Bain & Company, where he was a strategy consultant. At Lake Capital, Rod focuses on consulting with new and existing portfolio companies to improve operations, strategy, and growth.

At Bain, Rod worked on assignments for the Private Equity Group, as well as engagements focused on growth strategies, go-to-market strategies, pricing strategies and post-merger integrations. Prior to Bain, Rod worked as an equity research analyst for the Pence growth equity team at Strong Capital Management, covering industry sectors such as education services, business services, transportation, diversified industrials and specialty retail. Rod began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he worked as an equity research associate for the Advertising and Marketing Services group and as an investment banking analyst for the Debt Capital Market Services group.

Rod received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, having previously graduated with a BS in economics from Duke University.
