Rob Austin joined Lake Capital in 2008 after completing his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management and having interned with Lake in 2007. His primary responsibilities include evaluating potential investments, structuring transactions, leading due diligence, negotiating transaction and financing agreements, and managing portfolio company investments.

Prior to joining Lake Capital, Rob was with The Riverside Company, a private equity firm with $2 billion in cumulative capital raised. At Riverside, his primary responsibility was deal sourcing for the western half of the United States. In addition, he performed preliminary due diligence, valuation and industry analyses. Before joining Riverside, Rob was an investment banking analyst at Harris Williams & Co., where he helped execute merger and acquisition transactions.

Rob received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, having previously graduated with a BS in commerce from the University of Virginia.
