Mike Orend is the director of business development responsible for transaction sourcing in a number of industries.

Prior to joining Lake Capital in 2005, Mike was a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was responsible for business development for a number of large multinational organizations.  Before PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mike was a director in the Corporate Finance practice at Arthur Andersen, where he ran the business development team for Andersen's business services practice and where he was directly responsible for initiating transactions in excess of $200 million.  Mike also spent four years as a business development manager in Andersen's Tax and Business Consulting practices.

Mike spent the first years of his career at Digital Equipment Corporation and Lanier Business Systems.

Mike has a BA in economics from the University of Virginia.
