Erik joined Lake Capital in 2007 from Bain & Company. As Head of Portfolio Company services Erik is responsible for overseeing the activities of the PCS Team. In addition, Erik continues to actively consult with executives at Lake Capital’s portfolio companies with a focus on operational improvements and growth acceleration. 

An engineer by training, Erik also has experience in financial analysis, operations, manufacturing, and business development roles. At Bain, he worked on assignments for the firm's Private Equity Group, as well as engagements focused on turnarounds, growth strategies, go-to-market strategies, supply chain optimization, and sales force effectiveness. Prior to Bain, Erik worked in various operating roles at Intel Capital and StorageTek, as well as technology start-up companies Vmedia and Dataplay.

Erik earned an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management with an emphasis on finance, marketing, and management strategy.  He also holds a Master of Engineering Management (MEM) from Northwestern's McCormick School of Engineering and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
