Erik joined Lake Capital in 2007 from Bain & Company, where he was a management strategy consultant. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Portfolio Company Services team. An engineer by training, Erik also has experience in financial analysis, operations, manufacturing, and business development roles. At Bain, he worked on assignments for the firm's Private Equity Group, as well as engagements focused on turnarounds, growth strategies, go-to-market strategies, and sales force effectiveness. Prior to Bain, Erik worked at Intel Capital and StorageTek, as well as technology start-up companies Vmedia and Dataplay.

Erik earned an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management with an emphasis on finance, marketing, and management strategy.  He also holds a master of engineering management from Northwestern's McCormick School of Engineering and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
